New member intro (x-posted to many groups)

Greetings,

I am brand new to Japanese study, and brand new to this group. I have been studying independently now for about two months, using various free lesson plans offered on the internet.

In the interest of consolidating online resources and making my homework available for review by some kind souls who may be willing to help me, I have started a yahoo group.

The purpose of this group is to provide Japanese language learning resources to beginning students. Links to lesson plans, course materials, book reviews, and other Japanese language/culture websites are all welcome.

To be perfectly honest, I created this list in hopes of finding others who would be willing to work with me on my own Japanese, as I am just starting to learn, and need to work with others in order to continue my process. That said, this list is for anyone interested in learning or teaching Japanese, and coordinating study groups for the various materials available here and elsewhere on the web.

Native Japanese speakers who are willing to help the rest of us learn are also especially welcome!

Thanks for your interest, and I hope you enjoy this group! If we all put in a little of what we have, we will all profit greatly.

Thanks,
Jimmy
